How it all began...

I’m Sara, the person behind Gâteaux de Luxe. I have always been a very creative person and have loved baking from a very young age. So, when I decided to make my first ever fondant Minion cake for my son’s 5th birthday, something just clicked, and I knew I had discovered my passion! For the next 2 years after that, I continued to experiment with creative cake designs, new decorating skills and cake recipes by offering to make cakes for family and friends. I absolutely loved every minute of it!

Cake decorating and baking brought me great joy as it provided an outlet for me to express my creative perfectionism and love for all things sweet, nicely combined in the form of beautiful handcrafted delicious cakes. And thus, in 2016, with the support of my husband and children, my little home-based cake business was born.

Working from my small home kitchen in Manchester, UK, I offer a very friendly and highly professional service, specializing in creating beautiful and luxury wedding cakes, celebration cakes and a wide variety of delectable desserts and Arabic delicacies.

All my luxury cakes are designed and created with impeccable attention to detail, and perfected to meet your high expectations. My cakes also don’t just look amazing but they taste incredible as well.

Availability...

As I am a mother, I have very limited availability and can only take on a few orders per month. So, if you would love for me to create your dream cake, early booking is always advised. I do, however, strive to one day be able to pursue my passion full-time. So thank you in advance for supporting my little cake business venture and for allowing me to do what I love most.
